RUN THE RANCH
Runners and walkers of all ages from Steiner Ranch and surrounding communities are invited to join the 17th Annual Run the Ranch 5K & Kids Fun Run on March 2. Participants will enjoy a fun-filled morning of racing, face painting, bounce houses and a vendor fair. The race kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at the Towne Square Community Center.
Registration for the 5K is $35 until February 14, increasing to $40 on February 15. The Kids Fun Run is $20, increasing to $25 after February 14. Detailed information, including an FAQ section, is available by clicking on the “REGISTER TODAY” link at www.hcsna.com.
Run the Ranch is organized by the Hill Country Special Needs Alliance (HCSNA). HCSNA is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2016 with the mission to help offset the unique financial challenges affecting families with special needs children. All proceeds from the race go directly back into the community through grants allocated to families seeking help.
Run the Ranch is a huge undertaking by members of HCSNA’s volunteer board of directors, who are all passionate about helping special needs children. “We simply couldn’t do this without the support of the community,” says HCSNA Board President Kara Crawford. “We’re so grateful to the Steiner Ranch HOA, local businesses and members of the community donating their time, goods, services or funds.”
HCSNA expects more than 400 participants, including runners and families, to turn out this year on Saturday, March 2 – rain or shine.
